Fond du Lac shuts out Appleton Double Days Legion baseball

FOND DU LAC – Fond du Lac Post 75 broke open a close game with a seven-run third inning and went on to blank the Appleton Double Days 10-0 in a Senior American Legion baseball game Tuesday.

Appleton (1-2) was held to three hits by Fond du Lac pitcher Logan Nordheim, who went the distance with seven strikeouts in five innings.

The Double Days were held to three singles – by Lincoln Thiede, Jack Schlueter and Josiah Robbert – in the loss.

The Double Days will host Oshkosh on Wednesday at Koslo Park in Menasha starting at 7 p.m.
