Fond du Lac holds off Appleton East football

FOND DU LAC – Appleton East had another strong defensive performance but could not muster enough offense and dropped a 12-7 decision to Fond du Lac in a Fox Valley Association football game Friday night at Fond du Lac High School.

The Patriots (2-4, 0-4 FVA) held Fond du Lac (1-5, 1-3 FVA) to just 241 total yards in losing their fourth-straight conference game.

Alex Thompson had a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter for East’s lone touchdown.

Evan Crowe led the Patriots’ defense with 10 tackles.

Appleton East will host Oshkosh West on Friday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m.
