Explosive start leads Xavier boys basketball to road win at Ripon

RIPON – The Xavier boys basketball team erupted for 63 points in the first half, opened up a 31-point lead, and rolled to a 93-58 win over Ripon in a nonconference matchup Monday night at Ripon High School.

Xavier shot 52 percent (34-for-65) from the field and knocked down nine 3-pointers as nine different Hawks scored in the win, four in double figures.

Logan Ramczyk led the way with 23 points while also grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out seven assists. Cole Hietpas added 20 points, Luke Oelhafen had 15 and Grant Neumann scored 10 in the win for Xavier (6-3).

Blake Bradley had 17 points for Ripon (1-10).

Xavier plays a Bay Conference game at Green Bay East on Friday.
