APPLETON – Kaukauna jumped on Appleton North early and cruised to a 67-41 win in a Fox Valley Association boys basketball game Tuesday at North High School.
The Ghosts rolled out to a 39-13 lead by halftime and were able to finish off the win, avenging a home loss to Appleton North last month.
Keegn Van Kauwenberg had 15 points, Jon O’Neill added 13 and Nathan Deprez 12 for Kaukauna, which improves to 16-6 overall and is now in a three-way tie with Appleton North and Neenah for second place in the conference at 11-5.
Daniel Garrigan was the lone Appleton North player to reach double figures, finishing with 10 points.
North (16-5), which started the season 14-1, has now lost four of its last six games. The Lightning will look to rebound at Appleton East, winners of six in a row, on Friday as part of a girls-boys doubleheader. The girls game starts at 6 p.m., with the boys to follow at 7:45 p.m.
