Denmark grabs walk-off win over Fox Valley Lutheran softball in eight innings

DENMARK – Olivia Ulman doubled home the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift Denmark to a 6-5 win over Fox Valley Lutheran in a North Eastern Conference softball game Thursday at Memorial Park.
Fox Valley Lutheran (4-2, 2-2 NEC) led 5-2 after four innings as Aliana Krueger knocked in a pair of runs and Avery Steffes, who finished 4-for-4 in the game, scored twice, but the Foxes would not score again.
Denmark chipped away, tying the game with a run in the bottom of the sixth before winning it in the eighth to remain undefeated in NEC play at 5-0 (6-2 overall).
Madison Babcock suffered the loss for the Foxes, striking out four, and allowing two walks and 11 hits.
Fox Valley Lutheran will be at home for an NEC game against Little Chute on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
