De Pere shuts out Appleton Post 38 Legion baseball

DE PERE – The Appleton Post 38 American Legion baseball team was shutout at De Pere on Tuesday night, losing 8-0.

Appleton was held to five hits and committed three errors in the loss, dropping to 4-5 this season.

Ryan Tesch had two of Appleton’s hits.

An error and five walks led to a three-run first inning for De Pere, and Javin Gauther hit a two-run home run in a four-run fourth for De Pere (8-3).

Appleton will be back in action Thursday at home against Neenah at 8 p.m. at Don Hawkins Field.
