Cedarburg doubles up Fox Cities Stars boys hockey

MEQUON – Cedarburg scored three unanswered goals in a 10-minute stretch and held on to defeat the Fox Cities Stars 4-2 in a nonconference boys hockey game Saturday at Ozaukee Ice Center.
Cale Adamovich tied the game at 1-1 for the Stars 2:44 into the second period before Cedarburg pulled ahead, scoring twice in the final seven minutes of the second period and adding another 2:26 into the third.
Kale Berendsen cut the Stars’ deficit to 4-2 with 11:44 remaining, but they were not able to get any closer.
Elliot Reichenberger had 35 saves in goal for Fox Cities, which drops to 5-8.
The Stars host Fond du Lac for a Badgerland Conference game at the Tri-County Ice Arena in Neenah on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
