Big sixth inning vaults Fond du Lac past Appleton West baseball

APPLETON – A five-run sixth inning pushed Fond du Lac to a 6-1 win over Appleton West in a Fox Valley Association baseball matchup Tuesday at Nienhaus Sports Complex.

The game was tied 1-1 after an RBI single by Riker Blahnik in the fourth inning for Appleton West before Sam Amadon smacked a bases-loaded three-run double to spark the five-run rally by Fond du Lac.

Appleton West (6-16, 6-11 FVA) suffered its fifth loss in a row as it was held to three hits.

The Terrors will finish their FVA season Thursday at Oshkosh West.
