Appleton West softball rolls in season-opener over Green Bay West/East

GREEN BAY – Appleton West scored seven times over the first three innings and cruised to an 8-2 win over Green Bay West/East in its softball season opener Friday.

The Terrors put up four runs in the top of the first inning, keyed by a two-run double by Lillian Hanke.

Appleton West added another three runs in the third as Addison Edmunds and Hattie Moscinski had RBI singles.

Mosicinski (three innings) and Madison Buchinger (four innings) combined on a five-hitter for Appleton West.

Appleton West will open its Fox Valley Association schedule at home against Kimberly on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.
