Appleton West softball held to two hits in loss to Oshkosh West

OSHKOSH – Three Oshkosh West pitchers held Appleton West to two hits and the Wildcats posted an 8-1 win in the Fox Valley Association softball season finale for both teams on Thursday at Oshkosh West High School.
The game was tight with Oshkosh West (16-8, 14-4 FVA) leading 2-0 after four innings, before the Wildcats pulled away with a six-run fifth.
Appleton West (1-20, 0-18 FVA) scored its only run in the seventh when Morgan Baheman singled, stole second and third and scored on a groundout by Chloe Didreckson.
Appleton West will finish its regular-season schedule with a nonconference road game at Green Bay West/East at Colburn Park on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
