Appleton West snags two top-15 finishes at Fond du Lac Cross Country Invitational

FOND DU LAC – Appleton West’s Tyce Scheetz and Lucie Fouts earned top-15 finishes at the Fond du Lac Memorial Cross Country Invitational on Friday at Rolling Meadows Golf Course.
Scheetz finished fifth in the boys 5-kilometer race in 17:00.9 and Fouts was 15th in the girls 5K in 20:34.5 to lead the way for Appleton West, which finished seventh in both the boys and girls team standings.
Germantown won the boys team title by seven points over Neenah, while Mequon Homestead was the girls team champion.
Appleton East was ninth in the boys team standings and only had four runners compete on the girls side, resulting in no team score.
Lian Krainik was East’s top boys runner, taking 45th in 18:53.6. Addison Baier finished 28th in 21:25.0 for the Appleton East girls.
Appleton West will compete at the Seymour Invitational and Appleton East at the Kimberly Invitational on Thursday.
