Appleton West has three honorable mention choices on 2023 All-Valley Football Association Team

Appleton West had three honorable mention selections to the 2023 Valley Football Association All-Conference Team, as voted on by the conference coaches following the season.

Senior offensive lineman Josh Flores, junior outside linebacker Riley Verboomen and sophomore safety Parrion Peace of Appleton West were among the honorable mention picks to the all-conference team. The Terrors finished the season 0-9 overall and 0-7 in the VFA.

Verboomen led Appleton West with 51 total tackles, including six for loss, and had a league-best three fumble recoveries. Peace finished the season with 47 tackles.

Stevens Point running back Braylon Smola was named the Offensive Player of the Year, and Hortonville’s Ben Smith and Reggie Kloehn were named Co-Defensive Players of the Year. Smola had a conference-high 970 yards rushing and 14 total touchdowns.
