Appleton West girls tennis earns home win over Kaukauna

APPLETON – The Appleton West girls tennis team picked up its first Fox Valley Association victory of the season on Thursday, defeating Kaukauna 5-2 at the West Tennis Courts.

West swept the four singles matches and also picked up a win at No. 2 doubles to earn the team victory and even its FVA dual meet record at 1-1.

Hannah Christensen (No. 1 singles), Addison Steward (No. 2 singles), Kami Beyersdorf (No. 3 singles), Ella Reetz (No. 4 singles), and the No. 2 doubles team of Aubrey Detert and Kyla Erickson won matches for the Terrors.

Appleton West will have a week off before playing another FVA dual at Fond du Lac on Thursday, Aug. 31.
