Appleton West girls golf opens season with third-place finish at De Pere Triangular

DE PERE – Lydia Barry shot a 44 to finish third in the individual standings as the Appleton West girls golf team opened its 2023 season Thursday with a third-place finish at the De Pere Triangular at Ledgeview Golf Course.

Gabby Hauser of De Pere was meet medalist with a 41, two shots ahead of teammate Lucy Kim and three in front of Barry.

De Pere won the team title with a score of 176, with Ashwaubenon second with a 205 and Appleton West third with a 209.

Anna Blair added a 52, Addison Edmunds shot a 56, Mariah Frase had a 57, Chloe Didreckson had a 60, and Ally Koehler shot a 76 to round out West’s scoring.

Appleton West hosted the Terror Invitational at Winnagamie Golf Course on Friday. Results were not available as of 11 p.m. Friday.
