Appleton West girls basketball drops home game to Manitowoc

APPLETON – The Appleton West girls basketball team couldn’t overcome a slow start and dropped a 71-32 decision to Manitowoc in a nonconference game Monday night at West High School.
Manitowoc rolled out to 41-19 lead by halftime and were able to finish off the win as three players scored in double figures, led by Taylor Peterson’s 15 points.
Jazelle Gowdy topped Appleton West (2-12) with 10 points.
Appleton West hosts Hortonville on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
