Appleton West boys soccer shuts out Waupun in regular-season finale

APPLETON – The Appleton West boys soccer team finished its regular-season schedule with a 2-0 shutout of Waupun in a nonconference match last Thursday at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.

Echa Itecha and Lomona Illunga scored goals for the Terrors, who snapped a 12-match losing streak with the victory.

Goalkeeper Ken Xiong had six saves in goal for Appleton West.

The Terrors finish the regular season with a 3-16-2 record and will play a WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal at De Pere on Tuesday.
