Appleton West boys soccer opens season with 0-2-1 mark

APPLETON – The Appleton West boys soccer team opened its 2023 season with three games last week.

West tied Bay Port at home 1-1 on Aug. 22, and were shutout at home by Racine Case 3-0 on Aug. 24 and at Wausau West 6-0 on Saturday in three nonconference matches.

Gentil Gasambi scored the Terrors’ goal in the tie with Bay Port.

Appleton West plays another nonconference game at Seymour on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., before opening Fox Valley Association play at Kimberly at 7 p.m. Thursday.
