Appleton West boys soccer falls short against Green Bay Preble

APPLETON – The Appleton West boys soccer team lost its second-straight game to start the season, falling to Green Bay Preble 3-1 on Thursday night at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.
Preble scored in the sixth minute and added another before halftime, and a third 17:47 into the second half to take a 3-0 lead.
Lomona Illunga scored for the Terrors with 4:07 remaining but that would be all they could muster.
Keyson Lehrer had 15 saves in goal for Appleton West (0-2).
West will be back in action Thursday, Sept. 5, when it hosts Kimberly in its Fox Valley Association opener at 7 p.m. at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.
