Appleton West boys golf earns FVA win over Appleton North

APPLETON – Appleton West had three players shoot 40 or under and defeated Appleton North 157-164 in a Fox Valley Association boys golf dual meet on Tuesday at Reid Golf Course.

Appleton North’s Jon Huenink shot a 36 to earn medalist honors, but Appleton West had the next four scores to earn the team victory as the Terrors improve to 2-0 in FVA matches this spring. Appleton North is now 0-3.

Prestynn Evers had a 37 and Thomas Wendt shot a 38 to help the Terrors to the win.

Both teams are scheduled to play again Thursday, with Appleton West hosting Oshkosh North at Winagamie Golf Course, and Appleton North traveling to Countryside Golf Course in Kaukauna.
