APPLETON – Appleton United girls lacrosse held a dedication night on Tuesday to the nonprofit organization Morgan’s Message, while hosting Brookfield at Appleton North High School.
Morgan’s Message is a 501(c)(3) that strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. It aims to expand the dialogue on mental health by normalizing conversations, empowering those who suffer in silence, and supporting those who feel alone.
The outcome of Appleton vs. Brookfield was almost identical to their first match up on April 3, with Brookfield winning 13-7.
Appleton goals were contributed by Ally Rhoda, Elizabeth VanRyzin, Kayden Smit, Lyla Cooke and Riley Harris.
