APPLETON – The Appleton United boys lacrosse team is moving on after a convincing 14-4 win over the Onieda Nation Thunderhawks in a WIAA regional semifinal Tuesday at Appleton East High School.
Appleton (12-4) will host the Wausau Wild (14-5) for a regional final on Thursday at 6 p.m. at East High School.
Tristan Dean started the scoring and Appleton poured it on from there, rolling out to an 8-1 lead after the first quarter.
Ryder Hill finished with four goals, Hans Ridlehoover added three, and Anton Downs scored twice for Appleton.
Landon Larson added a goal and four assists, Trevin Schultz, J.D. Lewis and Roen Willis each scored once, and Jaylen Kempfer had two assists in the win for Appleton.
