Appleton United boys hockey falls at home to Kenosha Thunder

APPLETON – Kenosha scored three first-period goals and never looked back, defeating Appleton United 6-1 in a nonconference boys hockey game Friday night at the Appleton Family Ice Center.
Kenosha (6-1) outshot Appleton 61-13, including 25-6 in the first period as it took a commanding lead.
Landon Larson scored off assists from Kenny Kapheim and Jack Kangas for Appleton’s only goal midway through the second period.
Appleton United (0-4) will play a Badgerland Conference game at Neenah/Hortonville/Menasha on Tuesday at the Champions Center in Appleton starting at 7 p.m.
