Appleton North wrestling opens season with pair of dominating dual wins

APPLETON – The Appleton North wrestling team opened its 2023-24 season with a pair of Fox Valley Association dual match victories on Thursday night at North High School.

Appleton North defeated Fond du Lac 63-18 and Oshkosh North 67-9 in dominating fashion.

The Lightning had six pins against Fond du Lac and seven against Oshkosh North.

Jake Stoffel (175 pounds), Brock Arndt (285), Tyson Salm (150) and Pablo Salinas (165) won both of their matches by pin for Appleton North.

Appleton North will compete at the Kimberly Invitational on Saturday.
