Appleton North has six first-team selections on 2023 All-Fox Valley Association Football Team

Appleton North had 17 players earn all-conference honors, including six named to the first team of the 2023 All-Fox Valley Association Football Team, as voted on by the conference coaches following the season.

Senior inside linebacker Brock Arndt was a unanimous first-team pick and was named the FVA’s Defensive Player of the Year and Linebacker of the Year. He led the Lightning in tackles with 70, including six for loss.

Seniors Jack Modder (offensive line), Brady Lamon (defensive line) and Christian Pride (safety), and juniors Bobby Salm (outside linebacker) and Sean Hansen (cornerback) were also first-team picks for Appleton North, which finished 4-3 in the conference and 6-4 overall after a first-round loss in the WIAA playoffs to Kimberly.

Appleton East had a pair of second-team picks in sophomore offensive lineman Todd Marx and senior wide receiver Cam Scott.

Earning second-team honors for Appleton North were offensive lineman Jack Hawkins, H-back Evan Elrod, running back Jack Robinson, defensive lineman Blake Miller, inside linebacker Ben Wenzel and cornerback Nick Bergin.

Kaukauna quarterback Finnley Doriot was named the FVA Offensive Player of the Year after helping the Ghosts to a tie for the conference title with Kimberly. Doriot threw for 1,932 yards and 18 touchdowns, and rushed for 372 yards and four scores for the Ghosts.

Kaukauna’s Matt Binsfeld was named Coach of the Year.
