Appleton North girls volleyball sweeps Oshkosh North

OSHKOSH – The Appleton North girls volleyball team ran its Fox Valley Association record to a perfect 4-0 with a 3-0 sweep of Oshkosh North on Thursday night at Oshkosh North High School.

The Lightning won 25-8, 25-15, 25-11, to remain unbeaten in FVA play. Oshkosh North drops to 0-4.

Emerson Van Lannen had 14 assists and seven kills, Lydia Koshuta added 12 assists and four service aces, and Teegan Charapata added six kills and a pair of aces for Appleton North.

Maggie Hahnke had a team-high six aces and four kills, Shayna Williamson chipped in five kills, and Lainey Frisch had three aces for the Lightning.

“Our girls played with passion and energy tonight,” Appleton North coach Steve Scheuerell said. “Love watching these girls cheer for each other and have fun on the court.”

Appleton North will compete at the Milwaukee Divine Savior Holy Angels Invitational on Saturday at the Sting Center.
