Appleton North girls volleyball earns FVA sweep at Appleton West

APPLETON – The Appleton North girls volleyball team remained unbeaten in the Fox Valley Association with a 3-0 sweep of Appleton West on Thursday night at West High School.

The Lightning won  25-15, 25-17, 25-20.

Appleton North is now 2-0 and Appleton West drops to 0-2 in FVA duals this fall.

Kayden Lamon had eight kills, Teegan Charapata had 11 digs, and Lydia Koshuta had 14 assists to pace the Lightning.

Chloe North added nine digs, Ellis Brinkman finished with six kills and three service aces, and Alivia Barker had five kills as well for Appleton North.

Appleton West statistics were not provided.

Appleton West will host a six-team tournament on Saturday with Wisconsin Rapids, Freedom, Green Bay Southwest, Oshkosh Lourdes and Waupaca competing.

Both teams will play FVA duals on Tuesday with Appleton North hosting Oshkosh West and Appleton West traveling to Kimberly.
