OSHKOSH – The Appleton North girls basketball overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to defeat Oshkosh North 79-68 in a Fox Valley Association game Friday night at Oshkosh North High School.
The Spartans led 41-31 at halftime before the Lightning stormed back with a 48-point second half to win their fourth game in a row.
Tay Maass had 22 points, Avery Werfal added 20 and Shayna Williamson was 7-for-8 from the field and scored 19 points for Appleton North (5-4, 3-2 FVA).
Awut Alic had 22 points and Ava Hanson scored 21 for Oshkosh North (4-4, 1-4 FVA).
Appleton North hosts Kimberly next Friday, Dec. 22, at 7:30 p.m.
