Appleton North girls basketball loses road matchup at De Pere

DE PERE – De Pere outscored Appleton North by double figures in both halves to earn a 68-38 win in a nonconference girls basketball game Tuesday night at De Pere High School.
De Pere pulled out to a 32-19 lead by halftime and outscored the Lightning by 17 in the second half to finish off the victory. Both teams are now 1-1 this season.
Kate Vanden Berg scored nine points and Shayna Williamson had seven points for Appleton North.
Egan Bierowski led De Pere with 12 points.
Appleton North will be back in action Saturday when it takes on Wauwatosa East at Kettle Moraine at 1:45 p.m. The Lightning opens Fox Valley Association play at Neenah on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
