Appleton North football uses running game to pound Oshkosh West

APPLETON – Appleton North scored touchdowns in each quarter and held Oshkosh West to just 103 total yards in a 34-9 win in a Fox Valley Association football game Friday night at Paul Engen Field at Appleton North High School.
Jack Robinson rushed for 161 of North’s 288 yards on the ground and scored a touchdown, and Bobby Salm added two scores for the Lightning, who improve to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the FVA.
North quarterback Luke Kritzer added 74 yards rushing and a touchdown, and threw for 78 more as the Lightning outgained West 366-103.
North will be at home again next Friday, Sept. 15, when it hosts Oshkosh North in an FVA battle. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
