Appleton North finishes third, East and West both have sectional qualifiers at WIAA Division 1 girls golf meet at Butte des Morts

APPLETON – Appleton North, Appleton East and Appleton West will all be represented at sectionals are competition at a WIAA Division 1 girls golf regional on Monday at Butte des Morts Country Club.

The top four teams and the top four individuals not on the qualifying teams advance to a Division 1 sectional at High Cliff Golf Course in Sherwood next Monday, Oct. 2.

Kaukauna won the team title with a score of 334, 16 shots in front of Neenah. Appleton North finished one shot out of second to earn a spot at the sectional, along with fourth-place Hortonville (370).

Appleton East’s Jaelyn Feller, the Fox Valley Association tournament champion, took sixth with an 84 and Appleton West junior Lydia Barry shot a 90 to finish 14th and earned two of the four individual sectional berths.

Kimberly’s Jenna Schumacher was the regional champion after firing a 75, three shots in front of Kaukauna’s McKenna Lowe.

Taylor LeMire of Appleton North took fourth with an 81 to lead the way for the Lightning. Emily Brokl added an 87, Julia Lindemann had an 88 and Kendall Lindemann had a 95 to round out North’s scoring.
