Appleton North boys volleyball sweeps Kaukauna

KAUKAUNA – The Appleton North boys volleyball team pulled into a three-way tie for third place in the Fox Valley Association with a 3-0 sweep of Kaukauna on Tuesday night at Kaukauna High School.
The Lightning won 25-18, 25-20, 25-14, to move to 2-2 in the FVA, which is tied with Neenah and Kaukauna for third, two wins behind undefeated leaders Kimberly and Fond du Lac.
Nathan Ramus had 13 kills and 11 digs, Owen Tierney had 10 kills and three service aces, and Landon Kue had a team-best 17 digs for Appleton North.
Howie Guilbeault chipped in nine kills, Charlie Fanning had 11 digs, and Rowan Cihlar had four kills as well for the Lightning.
Appleton North will compete at the Madison Memorial Invitational on Saturday.
