Appleton North boys volleyball opens season with three wins at Kenosha Indian Trail

KENOSHA – The Appleton North boys volleyball team kicked off its 2023 season with three victories at the SEC/FVA Challenge on Thursday at Indian Trail High School.

Appleton North defeated Kenosha Indian Trail 25-10, 25-11; Wilmot 25-21, 25-23; and Franklin 25-23, 25-18, to start its season 3-0.

Nathan Ramus had 29 kills, Connor Cantrell dished out a team-high 72 assists, and Alex Rasmus led the North defense with 17 digs.

Ben Brinkman had 20 kills, Jadon Ciriacks added 17 kills and nine service aces, Trey Truettner had 12 kills, and Ben Griffith had 10 digs as well for the Lightning.

Appleton North will compete at the Kettle Moraine Invitational on Saturday.
