Appleton North boys volleyball opens FVA season with sweep of Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC – The Appleton North boys volleyball team won its Fox Valley Association opener with a 3-0 sweep of Fond du Lac/North Fond du Lac on Tuesday night at Fond du Lac High School.

The Lightning won 25-10, 25-15, 25-18.

Setter Connor Cantrell had 25 assists, Jadon Ciriacks and Nathan Ramus each had six kills, and Alex Ramus had seven digs to lead North.

Ben Brinkman added five kills, Grant Hardy had four kills, Trey Truettner had three kills, Lucas Kisiolek had six digs and Ben Griffith added five digs for the Lightning.

Appleton North, ranked No. 2 in this week’s Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association state poll, plays at No. 5 Kimberly for another FVA match Thursday at 7 p.m.
