Appleton North boys volleyball goes 3-1 at Madison Memorial Invite

MADISON – The Appleton North boys volleyball team won three of four matches at the Madison Memorial Invitational on Saturday.
The Lightning defeated Waterford 25-13, 25-14; Sun Prairie 25-16, 25-19; and Union Grove 25-12, 25-16; while suffering a three-set loss to Mequon Homestead 19-25, 25-18, 16-14. North is now 15-7 this season.
Nathan Ramus had 54 kills and 15 digs, Landon Kue topped the defense with 34 digs, and setters Saolai Thao and Spencer Munson had 53 and 46 assists, respectively, in the four matches for the Lightning.
Owen Tierney added 24 kills, Sam Kuehl contributed 20 kills and Charlie Fanning had 12 digs as well for Appleton North.
Appleton North will host Neenah for a Fox Valley Association match on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
