Appleton North boys golf tops Hortonville for second FVA win

APPLETON – Appleton North’s Jon Huenink finished first for the fourth time in as many Fox Valley Association meets this season as he shot a 39 on Friday to help the Lightning to a 170-181 win over Hortonville at Reid Golf Course.

Huenink bested teammate Drew Rudolf by one shot to win medalist honors.

Dax Macklin had a 43 to tie for third and Nolan Shea shot a 48 to round out the scoring for the Lightning, who are now 2-2 in FVA duals this spring.

Appleton North will be back in action Tuesday with a meet against FVA-leading Kimberly at High Cliff Golf Course.
