Appleton North boys basketball rolls past Brookfield Central at WBY Shootout

MEQUON – Grant Hardy scored a season-high 22 points to lead the Appleton North boys basketball team to a 78-63 win over Brookfield Central on Thursday at the Rick Majerus Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Shootout at Concordia University.
Nathan Ramus added 19 points, and Will Sweeney and Abraham Tomori each had 11 for the Lightning, who are now 5-2 after winning their third game in a row.
Appleton North led by eight at halftime and outscored the Lancers (4-4) by seven in the second half to cruise to the win.
Evan Prusko led Brookfield Central with 28 points.
Appleton North will take on Eau Claire Memorial at 4:45 p.m. Friday, concluding play at the WBY Shootout.
