Appleton North boys basketball ekes out road win at West De Pere

DE PERE – Four Appleton North players scored in double figures as the Lightning snagged a nonconference road win, defeating Bay Conference champion West De Pere 56-54 on Tuesday at West De Pere High School.
The Lightning trailed 26-20 at halftime before storming back to earn the win, their third in a row.
Will Sweeney scored 15 points, Abraham Tomori added 12, and Nathan Ramus and Grant Hardy each had 11 for Appleton North. Tomori had four 3-pointers, and Sweeney and Hardy each hit three as the Lightning finished with 10 makes from long range. Ramus also had seven rebounds in the victory.
Appleton North (16-7 overall) will finish its regular-season schedule at Neenah on Thursday. The two teams are tied for third place in the Fox Valley Association at 11-6.
