Appleton North boys basketball cruises past Appleton West

APPLETON – Nathan Ramus scored 19 of his game-high 30 points in the first half to help Appleton North build a big lead and the Lightning cruised to an 85-61 win over Appleton West in a Fox Valley Association boys basketball game Tuesday at West High School.
The Lightning rolled out to a 49-24 lead by halftime and stayed in control the rest of the way, improving to 11-4 overall and 8-3 in the FVA.
Matt Rosplochowski added 17 points and Abraham Tomori contributed 14 points in the win for Appleton North.
Lucas Downs finished with 15 points, and Braylon Ise and Parrion Peace each had 13 for Appleton West (1-13, 0-11 FVA). The Terrors have now lost 13 games in a row.
Both teams are back in action Friday as Appleton North will host Oshkosh West and Appleton West travels to Kimberly. Both games begin at 7:30 p.m.
