Appleton East wrestling loses home dual to Kimberly

APPLETON – Appleton East won just two of the 10 contested matches and dropped a 63-13 decision to Kimberly in a Fox Valley Association wrestling dual Thursday at East High School.

Cian Braun defeated Tyler Hopfensperger 3-1 in the 190-pound match, Ido Vang earned a 15-7 major decision at 106, and Paul Martin won by forfeit at 120 to account for the Patriots’ three victories.

Kimberly is now 5-3 in FVA duals, while Appleton East drops to 3-5.

Appleton East will compete at the Wausau East Invitational on Saturday.
