Appleton East ties for third, Appleton North takes fifth at 17-team Manitowoc Boys Golf Invite

CATO – Appleton East’s Jadon Geerts and Owen Lutes, and Appleton North’s Jon Huenink finished in a four-way tie for seventh place after shooting 83 at the Manitowoc Boys Golf Invitational on Thursday at Branch River Golf Club.
Green Bay Notre Dame won the team title with a 327, 12 shots in front of Oshkosh North. Appleton East and Neenah tied for third with a 342, and Appleton North was fifth with a 351 among the 17 teams at the meet.
Oshkosh North’s Owen Weber was the meet medalist after shooting a 78, one shot ahead of Notre Dame’s Thomas Bobinski.
Drew Rodolf tied for 11th with an 84, Dax Macklin shot 90, Nolan Shea had a 94 and Mason Bernhardt had a 101 for Appleton North.
In addition to East’s two seventh-place finishers, Landon Hill added an 87, Kenny Kapheim had an 89 and Alex Gilmeister shot 91 for the Patriots.
Appleton East will host Appleton North for a Fox Valley Association dual meet on Friday at Reid Golf Course starting at 2:45 p.m.
