Appleton East softball rallies to top Oshkosh North, picks up first win of 2025

OSHKOSH – The Appleton East softball team overcame a five-run deficit to defeat Oshkosh North 10-6 and picked up its first win of the season Thursday at Oshkosh North High School.
The Spartans (3-6, 1-3 Fox Valley Association) scored five times in the opening inning before Appleton East stormed back.
The Patriots (1-5, 1-3 FVA) scored three times in the second, third and fourth innings to take a 9-5 lead and were able to hold on from there.
Aubrie Erickson picked up the pitching win, striking out two in a complete-game effort for the Patriots.
East had 15 hits, four from Reese Reichelt. Torie Neubauer, Nina Kubiak and Lydia Dahlman each had two hits, with Dahlman, Allena Neubauer and Miley Bee each finishing with two RBI in the win.
Appleton East will be back at home Tuesday against Hortonville for another FVA contest. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
