Appleton East girls volleyball finishes eighth at home Patriot Invitational

APPLETON – Appleton East went 1-3 and finished eighth at its home girls volleyball Patriot Invitational on Saturday at Appleton East High School.
Appleton East lost to Kewaskum 25-16, 25-20; defeated D.C. Everest 26-24, 19-25, 15-11; and lost to Stevens Point 25-16-25-17, and Chilton 25-27, 25-16, 25-22.
Bay Port defeated Kewaskum 25-17, 25-17, in the championship match, and Marshfield defeated Green Bay Southwest in the third-place match.
Ryley Foley and Elizabeth Jacobs each had 20 kills, Zoe Woceknfus had 19 kills and 28 digs, Lindsey Gerard had 41 assists and 33 digs, and Addie Wreath added 23 assists and 16 digs for Appleton East in its four matches.
Appleton East hosts Appleton West on Thursday in a Fox Valley Association match for Pink Out Breast Cancer Awareness Night at East High School.
