Appleton East girls tennis defeats Fond du Lac to pick up first FVA win

FOND DU LAC – Appleton East swept the three doubles matches and pulled out a 5-2 win over Fond du Lac in a Fox Valley Association girls tennis match Tuesday at Fond du Lac High School.

Hailey Berndt and Lucy Endres (No. 1 doubles), Cleo Sparmen and Megan Lemke (No. 2) and Hope Bruce and Sadie Kraft (No. 3) each won in straight sets for the Patriots, who are now 1-2 in the FVA.

Aubrie Erickson (No. 1 singles) and Brooklyn Grizzle (No. 4 singles) also on in straight sets for Appleton East.

Appleton East is at home Thursday to face Hortonville.
