Appleton East girls basketball stays perfect with win over Sun Prairie East

WALES – The Appleton East girls basketball team kept its perfect record intact with a dominating 62-34 win over Sun Prairie East on Saturday at the Kettle Moraine Thanksgiving Classic.
Lilly Meulemans made four of the Patriots’ nine 3-pointers in the victory as East improves to 4-0 this season. Lindsey Gerard added 14 points in the win.
Appleton East built a double-digit lead by halftime at 32-18 and held Sun Prairie East (1-2) to just 16 points in the second half to finish off the win and a 2-0 record at the tournament.
Appleton East opens its Fox Valley Association season Tuesday at home against Kimberly.
