APPLETON – Appleton East had three players finish in double figures as it handled Kaukauna 56-41 in a Fox Valley Association girls basketball game Friday night at East High School.
Ella Sweeney scored 16 points, making all six of her free throw attempts, Jenna Ott had three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points, and Aubrie Erickson knocked in 11 points for the Patriots (2-4, 2-1 FVA).
Appleton East shot a solid 47 percent from the field (18-for-38) and knocked down six 3-pointers in the win.
The Patriots returns to action Tuesday at Oshkosh North.
