Appleton East finishes 2-3, Xavier 0-5 at Kiel Wrestling Multi-Duals

KIEL – Appleton East finished 2-3 and Xavier ended up 0-5 at the Kiel Multi-Duals wrestling tournament on Saturday at Kiel High School.

Appleton East picked up wins over Reedsville 42-38 and Xavier 54-24, while losing to Denmark 77-5, Kiel 53-18, and Franklin 42-37.

A short-handed Xavier squad lost to Franklin 46-15, Reedsville 32-26, Denmark 68-10 and Kiel 58-11, as well as to East.

In the match between the two Appleton schools, Xavier picked up wins by pin from Dante Vargas (144 pounds), John Faulkner (1500) and Jerome Erimas (165).

Appleton East won seven matches by forfeit and two by pin from Aiden Pack at 175 and Mike Seidl at 215.

Appleton East will compete at a Fox Valley Association triangular at Oshkosh West on Tuesday and the Oregon Invitational next Saturday.

Xavier’s next action is Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Brillion Invite.
