Appleton East boys golf wins FVA dual over Appleton North

APPLETON – Appleton North sophomore Jon Huenink shot a 1-over par 36 to win medalist honors, but Appleton East had the next five finishers and won the team battle 159-168 in a Fox Valley Association boys golf dual Friday at Reid Golf Course.

Kenny Kapheim shot a 38, Owen Lutes and Tyler Bell had 40s, and Landon Hill shot a 41 for Appleton East (3-4 FVA).

Dax Macklin had a 43 and Mason Bernhardt shot 44 for Appleton North (2-4 FVA).

Appleton North will play a dual meet at Oshkosh Country Club against Oshkosh West on Monday. Appleton East’s next meet is Tuesday at Reid against Oshkosh North.
