Appleton East boys basketball suffers close loss to Hortonville

APPLETON – The Appleton East boys basketball team suffered another close loss, falling to Hortonville 73-71 in a Fox Valley Association matchup Friday night at East High School.

The Patriots (3-13, 2-11 FVA) have now lost eight in a row four by eight points or less.

Cade Prestigiacomo had 24 points and Joey LaChapell added 22 for Appleton East.

Ethan Jolin led Hortonville (10-8, 5-7 FVA) with 27 points and Drake Johnson kicked in 20.

Appleton East hosts Pulaski in a nonconference game Saturday at 5 p.m.
