Appleton East boys basketball defeats Pulaski, snaps long losing skid

APPLETON – The Appleton East boys basketball team snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 79-70 nonconference win over Pulaski on Saturday at East High School.

Joey LaChapell hit four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 36 points to lead the way for the Patriots, who are now 4-13 this season.

Grayson Kasmarek went 5-for-8 from 3-point range and added 17 points, and Cade Prestigiacomo scored 12 for Appleton East.

Colin Schultz had 24 points for Pulaski (10-9).

Appleton East will play at crosstown rival Appleton North on Tuesday as part of a girls-boys doubleheader. The girls game starts at 6 p.m., with the boys to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m.
