Appleton East baseball rolls past Oshkosh North

OSHKOSH NORTH – The Appleton East baseball team pulled into a five-way tie for first place in the Fox Valley Association with a 13-1 rout of Oshkosh North on Thursday at Appleton East High School.

The Patriots blew open a 1-1 game with a five-run second inning and a four-run fourth.

Ethan Winkler had three of East’s 11 hits and scored four times, and Cade Prestigiacomo and Daniel Dieck each drove in four runs in the win.

Mason Winkler struck out two in four innings to earn the win for the Patriots (4-2, 3-1 FVA).

Appleton East’s next game is Tuesday at home against Hortonville.
